Accessibility

The Vintage Mobile Cinema was built in 1967, and as such was not designed for mobility-impaired people. However, we do not want this to prevent anyone from getting involved in the project, either as a spectator or a contributor. If you have any concerns about being able to access the vehicle, please get in touch and we will arrange an alternative accessible screening.

The vehicle has two entrances, both of which are accessed by steps. The cinema is a small space, but it is fully ventilated and climate controlled. Inside there is a centre aisle which is about what you would expect to find in a minibus or aeroplane, with a pair of cinema-style seats on either side. There is plenty of leg-room but the limitations of the size of the vehicle mean that the seats are relatively narrow. The seats nearest the screen are at floor height, and there is space in front of these for alternative chairs to be put out for those who might find the cinema seats unsuitable for any reason.

Please get in touch with us regarding any aspect of this; we will do our utmost to help ensure that everyone who wishes to be a part of the project is able to do so.
